Magna Entertainment Announces the Award of a Gaming License for Gulfstream Park

MEC or Magna Entertainment Corp has just announced that they have been awarded a Gaming license for the slots at the Gulfstream Park racetrack by the state of Florida. The park is operated and powered by a subsidiary of the Magna Entertainment Corp. The President of MEC said that the company considers this a huge gain for the gambling industry and the slots will make the park became on the leading racing/gaming areas. Within a few weeks, MEC will have at least 516 slots installed and working.

The gulfstream Park has been up and running since 1939. It is about 255 acres big and in the center of Hallandale and Aventura. This area is located somewhere between Miami, FL and Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. This park is a place of many races and derbies. Recently, the tracks as been resurfaced, lengthen, and a turf course was developed. The park is also where you can find a new clubhouse. There are restaurants and entertainment areas that have enhanced the value of the racetrack.

MEC is number one when it comes to horse tracks and operators. Their revenues are better than anyone else and they also own TM (a horse racing TV station that runs races 24/7) and an internet and telephone wagering system.
